Christmas and New Year

As we head into the Christmas and New Year school holidays, your local policing team will be out across the area and the town centre, keeping an eye on things and supporting residents.

Please remind young people to stay with friends when out, keep phones and valuables out of sight and let someone know where they’re going. 

There are plenty of youth activities running across Rochdale over the break, giving young people safe places to spend time and get involved in something positive.

With darker evenings, it’s a good time to double‑check home security by keeping doors and windows locked and keeping gifts and valuables away from view. If you’re visiting the town centre, plan your travel, stay with people you trust and look out for each other. 

If you see anything that doesn’t feel right, speak to an officer or report it to us. We’re here throughout the holidays to help keep the community safe.
